介護施設でのプライバシーと安全について
介護施設に、プライバシーは存在するのでしょうか？そう聞かれたら、私はＮＯと答えます。
理由は簡単です。プライバシーよりも何よりも、安全を最優先するからです。
これは、ご覧の皆様も、利用者も、その家族も安全を優先することは当然であり望みでもあるでしょう。
その証拠に、利用者が集まる食堂や廊下のも監視カメラが設置されています。
監視カメラ以外にも、介護施設での介護士の仕事内容の中に『見守り』という業務があります。
この見守り業務とは、居室で一人でいると安全確保が難しい利用者を食堂などの広間に集めて、介護士が利用者の安全のために目を光らせます。
介護施設に入居する人は、独居や家族の介護が難しく、安心安全な老後過ごすために介護施設を利用します。
つまり安全確保とは、利用者に関わるすべての人間の望みであり、使命でもあるのです。
もちろん可能な限りプライバシーを守りますが、安全には変えられません。
聞けば誰でも納得される話なんですが、多くの行政などは違います。
見守りについては承知されますが、監視カメラはプライバシーの侵害だと判断される場合が多いです。
居室内やトイレや風呂場といった場所に監視カメラを設置すれば、行政の言い分が少しは理解できますが、共用部分へのモニタリングまで否定されたら安全確保が更に困難となります。
深刻な人手不足業界として有名な介護業界において、最新のテクノロジーを活用することは人手不足の穴を埋めると共に、労力の軽減にも繋がります。
ましてや今後はＡＩの時代が到来するでしょう。
ＡＩの活躍は多岐にわたりますが、その中にもプライバシーを侵害する恐れのある場合があります。
例えば、利用者がベットから起きたり、徘徊すれば介護士に連絡が入り、ご丁寧に位置情報まで知らせてくれます。
本当に便利で安心できるシステムだと思いますが、行政側から見れば疑問符がつくのかもしれません。
この問題に正しい結論が出ることはないと思います。というのは、プライバシーの保護と安全確保を両立することができないからです。
未来で何らかの形で介護に関わる人は考えて頂きたい。
大切な家族の安全はそこそこに、プライバシーだけは確実に守ってほしいのか、プライバシーはそこそこ守り、安全だけは確実に守ってほしいのか。
最後に、介護業界について様々なご意見がある方がいます。
賛否があって当然です。一部の介護士は犯罪を犯していることもあるのですから。
行政も、より良い介護業界の発展を願っての対応なのだと思っています。
どのような意見でも、発言者は実際の介護現場を知って頂きたいと思っています。
上辺だけの知識を披露されても、現場は混乱しモチベーションが下がり、介護士の質が落ちるだけで何も響きません。
誰の得にもならないのです。
